Hiiiiii! My name is Kari and this is the home of my adventures, product reviews and healing journey updates. I’ve struggled with anxiety, depression and just over all mental health. I am the type that sheds literal tears when I experience any kind of emotion and it has been something that I like the least about myself. I could be madder than a grandma losing by one bingo number and still be crying like a baby. Hence where the name Feral CryBaby came from.
This isn’t some traumatic backstory that is like oh my God, this girl had a hard life. The “hardest” thing about my backstory was that I had a pretty gnarly underbite (picture a bulldog, that was my aesthetic till I was 17), red hair and I was allergic to the sun. I was bullied yeah, but who wasn’t? I had some s***** things happen to me for sure, but again, who hasn’t? I was so stuck in the mindset that my life was so much harder than anyone else’s and the world was out to get me.
The reality was that I was personalizing everything and making my journey more difficult. Life is all about energy and the type of energy that you put into things is the energy that you are going to get out of it, so you better be careful. Swapping the energy from saddie to baddie is not easy, but once you make the swap you begin to align with the highest version of yourself.
The idea behind this blog is to help others see that you can kick your anxiety square in the nuts and win the fight, if you want to. We all have the keys to our dream lives, we just have to reach out and take them. Life is tricky, but it is even trickier when you personalize every aspect of it and invite the junk into your life. Happiness is a choice that you have to make each and every day. I still cry when I get overwhelmed, but I feel myself navigating difficult conversations and situations with minimal tears these days. Luckily, I have one of the most supportive and patient spouses on the planet and for him, I am forever grateful.
I am not a doctor (yet, atleast. I will have my doctoral degree in 2026) but I have tried different things and I have figured out what works well for me when I thought there was no hope to feel good. I’ve tried everything from anti depressants to sound baths and I am here to tell you all about it. Healing is not a once size fit all approach and it is not something that happens over night but it is something that changes your life so it is worth the fight. I’m just here to give you a full review on the things I’ve tried and be a cheerleader for you on your journey. We’re all in this together!
